The International Journal of Computer-Supported Collaborative Learning (ijCSCL)

The International Journal of Computer-Supported Collaborative Learning (ijCSCL) was founded in 2006 to provide a venue for publication of leading papers on CSCL research. I co-founded the journal with Friedrich Hesse, the director of the Knowledge Media Research Center in Tuebingen, Germany, and with a Board of Editors including about 40 leading CSCL and CSCW researchers from around the world. The journal is published quarterly by Springer, sponsored by the International Society of the Learning Sciences.
ISI Web of Science (now part of Thomson Reuters) selected ijCSCL for coverage in its products and services. Beginning with Vol. 3 (1) 2008, ijCSCL is now being indexed and abstracted in:
The ISI Web of Knowledge impact factor for ijCSCL was released in summer 2010 for citations in the year 2009: ijCSCL has an impact factor of 2.692, making it #2 (of 139 journals) in the category "Education and Educational Research" and #6 (of 65 journals) in the category "Information Science & Library Science" (see tables). The impact factor reflects that the 39 articles published in ijCSCL during 2007 and 2008 were cited 105 times (in journals tracked by ISI) during 2009, for an average of 2.692 citations per article.
Anyone who joins ISLS is entitled to receive paper and electronic copies of the journal. To join ISLS, go to ISLS.org. The ISLS membership fee is deducted from registration at the CSCL or ICLS conference. Most major universities subscribe to ijCSCL as part of Springer's package of educational journals.
